Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko takes heat from Sam Nartey George for a social media post. He expressed his disapproval publicly. The two are known for their differing political views. George an NDC represents Ningo-Prampram in Parliament. Otchere-Darko is a prominent figure in the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
In relation to a post made on X on the 8th of March 2024 by Gabby, he shared a quotation from the book of 2nd Chronicles
The quote talks about King David wanting to build a house for God, but God tells David that his son will is desired to build it.
The NPP staunch and cousin to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo wrote, “Second Chronicles, chapter 6, verses 7 to 9”. which reads
“7. When David my father wished to build a house for the name of the LORD, the God of Israel;
8. The LORD said to him: ‘In wishing to build a house for my name, you did well.
9. But it is not you who will build the house, but your son, who comes from your loins: he shall build the house for my name.”
Following this, Sam George responded to Gabby’s post on X by suggesting that Gabby implied God’s rejection of President Akufo-Addo’s sacrifice.
“You admit God has rejected the sacrifice of your cousin? Praise be to God,” he wrote.
In as much as the MP for Ningo Prampram spoke proverbially, one can say he was beaming on The President to build the National Cathedral as an appreciation to God for making him the president.
