The Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI) for Ghana in 2025 is not yet available. The 2024 CPI, which was released in February 2025, showed Ghana with a score of 42 out of 100. This score placed Ghana 80th globally and 11th in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Highlighting the need for urgent reforms to strengthen transparency, accountability, and governance.

In Ghana, the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) and the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) are key anti-corruption bodies. A

dditionally, the Economic and Organized Crime Office (EOCO) also plays a significant role in investigating and prosecuting economic and organized crime.

Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP):
Established in 2018, the OSP is designed as a specialized, independent institution to investigate and prosecute corruption and corruption-related offenses. The OSP also has a mandate to prevent corruption through measures like the Ghana Corruption League Table (GCLT), which ranks public institutions based on corruption vulnerabilities.

Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ):
CHRAJ is mandated to investigate allegations of corruption, conflict of interest, abuse of power, and misuse of public funds. It also handles disclosures of impropriety under the Whistleblowers Act.

Economic and Organized Crime Office (EOCO):
EOCO, formerly the Serious Fraud Office (SFO), focuses on investigating and prosecuting economic and organized crimes. Its mandate includes recovering proceeds of crime.
