The Regional Minister in his address expressed his profound gratitude to God and the people for their immense support and cooperation towards the successful completion of the auditorium.
Hon. Dr. Hafiz Bin Salih, Regional Minister for Upper West Region, graced the occasion as special guest of honor and unveiled the auditorium which sitting capacity is over thousand, the largest and most beautiful traditional auditorium in the upper west region.
The event witnessed the presence of dignitaries such as traditional and religious leadership, sons and daughters of the soil, and government officials. The Regional Minister in his address expressed his profound gratitude to God and the people for their immense support and cooperation towards the successful completion of the auditorium.
Prior to his address to the occasion, he respectfully called for a minute of silence in standing ovation in respect of the late Chief of Jirapa, Naa Angsole Ganaa II. The minister briefly recalled memories the Late Chief in both private and public life as one of good charisma, peace loving to unite his people in respective of tribe, clan, and religion. He appealed to the people of Jirapa to emulate the good legacies of the late Chief and fast track the process of nominating a new leader after the performance of the final funeral rite which the president or vice president of the republic will be attending.
He said regardless of the unflinching support of others and 200 bags of cement support from the Office of the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Lawyer Nicholas Soyiri to ensure the successful completion of the Auditorium, it would not have been the case without Mr. Eric Johnson, a son of the soil and CEO of Royal Cosy Hotel (Jirapa Dubai). He therefore seized the opportunity to appreciate the efforts of Mr. Eric Johnson for his relentless efforts towards the project. The Regional Minister encourages the youth to emulate Mr. Eric Johnson hard work, generosity and contribute in their own little way to make Jirapa and the Upper West Region a better place in terms of development.
He noted, the project has earned additional respect for the traditional leadership and will also served as disputes resolution center for residents.
The Minister called on the need for the good people in the region to desist from speeches and actions that divide and discriminate but to unite as one people for development to propel.
He underscored, the need to document the rich cultural history of Jirapa and reactivate the activities of Jirapa youth development association to champion unity and development.
