LAGOS: The ongoing dispute between gospel singer Mercy Chinwo and her former label boss, Dr. Ezekiel ThankGod (popularly known as EeZee Tee), has taken another turn.
Following Mercy Chinwo’s emotional video in which she made several allegations against him, EeZee Tee has now responded, firmly denying her claims and presenting what he calls “evidence” to clarify the situation.
EeZee Tee’s Response to Mercy Chinwo’s Allegations
In her emotional video, Mercy Chinwo accused Dr. Ezekiel ThankGod of:
- Forging documents and tampering with contract dates.
- Threatening her life, allegedly claiming that he “made her who she is” and could destroy her.
- Initiating legal action against her and fellow gospel artist Judikay, despite claims that she was the one taking legal steps.
- Sponsoring false news about her child to tarnish her image.
In response, EeZee Tee released a statement on his social media page, vehemently denying all accusations. His statement contained strong language, where he accused Mercy Chinwo of having an “evil mind” and carrying out a “dirty hatchet job” to paint herself as the victim.

In his rebuttal, EeZee Tee claimed that:
- Mercy Chinwo was never prevented from attending events, as she had alleged.
- She started fueling an unhealthy rivalry with her label mates, accusing the company of favoring them over her.
- She diverted revenue to her personal account instead of following proper business procedures.
- She boycotted scheduled events, causing reputational damage to the record label.
